S 3540a is a nonwoven fabric, manufactured of high-purity textile fibres by the air-layer technique.

It is especially suitable for heat insulation in the high temperature range up to 1050 °C due to its heat and flame resistance.
As heat and fire protection S 3540a is suitable for range of application, such as

• mechanical engineering and equipment construction
• vehicle construction, especially in the engine compartment
• rail vehicles
• industrial furnaces
