M 1724
M 1724 is a glass fibre mat (thickness approx. 3 mm), on one side lined with a perforated aluminium foil (thickness approx. 0.09 mm, hole diameter 1.5 mm, hole content approx. 7%), laminated on a polyurethane-foam (polyester), bonded on a composite of two glass fibre mats (thickness, each approx. 7 mm) and an intermediate heavy foil based on bitumen. Self-adhesive equipment with a high-quality adhesive system based on acrylate.
Main function
Airborne sound absorption (absorption) and airborne sound insulation
Applications
Mechanical engineering, plant construction, sound insulating cabins, engine compartment, exhaust area, catalytic converters etc.
Processing
The surface must be carefully cleaned from dust, grease, oil and water.
Full area adhesion has to be insured. The adhesion strength is directly dependent from the processing pressure. The material has to be pressed in firmly, e.g. using a feed roll.
Processing temperature: 18 - 25 °C
Storage conditions
Dry at temperatures between 18 - 25 °C
Max storage time: 3 months
Delivery forms
Standard boards approx. 1,000 x 1,600 mm untrimmed,
other sizes and cut-to-size pieces upon request.
