Waterjet-cut seals and customised flat seals for the safety of your plants

Special technologies require special components. This includes flat seals, too, not matching any standard size. With our cutting machinery we can cut customised seals and thus offer you custom-fit solutions. We select our available material compounds according to the future environmental conditions and cut them to size accordingly with our 2-D-pure-water cutting machine which disposes of a cut surface of 3,000 multiplied by 4,000 mm.

Advantages of cutting by a 2-D-pure-water cutting machine

The waterjet cutting offers enormous advantages compared to stamping processes because it works with precision and thus allows to produce customised flat seals. Moreover, the cutting of very large elastomer plates is made possible as well as very precise cuts like, for example, exactly right-angled recesses which do not need any further machining. By conventional cutting methods this precision cannot be achieved.

Materials for our customised seals

For our customised seals we use elastomers like caoutchouc (for example EPDM, NBR or NR), rubber, silicone and sponge rubber. Before cutting we select the appropriate material according to the environmental conditions during the utilization. In doing so, we take into account ozone, temperature, weather conditions, UV radiation, media resistance (for example to acids, alkalis and oils) as well as other conditions.
