Seals with joining seams have a negative effect on the performance of big industrial plants and make their availability decrease. To increase their performance and availability, seals without joining seams are absolutely necessary. At this point Steinbach AG acts by providing individual cuttings next to rolled and plate goods as oversized and special items available at useable widths up to 3200 mm and at material thicknesses from 0.5 to 6 mm.

Throughout Europe Steinbach AG is the only manufacturer offering formats for flat seals with a maximum useable width of 3200 mm!

Benefits of oversized geometries for seals and stamped parts

The advantage of oversized rubber seals lies in the fact that, opposite to a seal with seams, a seamless seal has got significantly less weak points. In today‘s modern time it is more and more common to build large plants consisting of various parts. If small sealing components or components of conventional measurements are used, constructive weak points can result from gluing. Seals in XXL-format noticeably reduce or even eliminate the risk of weak points.

Materials for seamless seals and stamped parts in XXL-format

We can manufacture seals in special sizes and oversized made of different materials. The sealing materials dispose of various qualities, for example temperature resistance, acids and alkalis resistance, oil and fire resistance. According to your requirements you can choose the suitable material.
