Collection of personal data

Steinbach AG views data privacy as a vital aspect of our business, including our website.
All personal data is safe with us and will be treated as strictly confidential. The data will be used exclusively in compliance with the Data Protection Act. Personal data is only collected, processed and used for the implementation of contracts. We will not sell or forward any customer data to third parties. All personal or business data requested on the website of Steinbach AG is provided by the user expressly on a voluntary basis.

Our website makes use of so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser downloads and stores on your computer.

There are cookies on our website that allow us to remember your visit and which pages you visited. (For example, when going through the ordering process in several stages, with the inputs of the previous step that must be taken, or when logging in to your customer account). We use YouTube for embedding videos (legal basis according to DSGVO/GDPR: Art. 6 – 1 lit. f with the operation of our website and the consideration of the interests of those concerned by deactivating the tracking functions in the YouTube code).

Server data

For technical reasons, data such as the following, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider (so called server log files), is collected:

• type and version of the browser you use
• operating system
• websites that linked you to our site (referrer URL)
• websites that you visit
• date and time of your visit
• your Internet Protocol (IP) address.

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal information you may have provided, thereby making it impossible to connect it to any particular person. In addition, the lower 12 bits of the IP addresses are zeroed for anonymization. The data is used for statistical purposes in order to improve our website and services.

In view of the discussion about the use of analytical tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website is used by Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" and, therefore, IP addresses are only further processed in shortened form. This is to rule out any direct personal identification.
